SPC deliver human trafficking and modern slavery training at Cambridge University

SPC were pleased to be invited to deliver presentations and training to the Cambridge Centre for Applied Research in Human Trafficking 2017 Cambridge Summer Symposium. This was part of the Cambridge University Summer School programme. The delegate taking part were from a diverse set of communities and organisations from around the world. In addition to delivering 2 days of presentations, other lecturers took part from far and wide via Skype and other technology platforms. The SPC content included an in depth look at trafficking of children for forced criminality, screening interviews for use in identifying potential victims of trafficking, Examination of the 'business model' of human trafficking organised crime groups and how to disrupt and counter them. In addition, there were a range of in depth case studies covering a wide range of new forms of exploitation taking place in the UK and Europe.
