Council of Europe Ukraine Report

SPC are incredibly proud to have contributed to the recently published Special Hearing Report on Understanding the Risks of Trafficking of Children of Ukraine, led by the Council of Europe’s Consultation Group on the Children of Ukraine.

Russia’s brutal and unjust invasion of Ukraine has caused immense suffering, tearing families apart and forcing millions to flee their homes.

Less commonly talked about, the war has left Ukrainian children especially vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation.

This report sheds light on the heartbreaking risks these children face and offers practical solutions to protect them. It is a sobering but essential read.

Both SPC directors Colin Carswell and Bernie Gravett were asked to contribute to the report, specifically due to our ongoing operations and presence in Ukraine, and we are immensely grateful to all of our friends and colleagues in Ukraine who have helped us to do this.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in this project.
