EC announce two final 2012 funding calls
The EC have announced the release of the final amounts of the 2012 funding.
The first is a ‘General Call for Proposals’ in the sum of €4 000 000 and any other amounts left over from the 2012 calls. This could still be a substantial amount of funds. There are 9 of the 2012 priorities covered by this call. The closing date for this call is 6th March 2013.
The second current call is a ‘Target Call’ for €50 000 000. This is for member states to set up ‘Passenger Information Units’. In short this is to set up units to compare airline passenger data to detect travelling terrorist and serious crime threats. The closing date for this call is in April 2013.
SPC Ltd are currently working with a number of UK police forces preparing submissions for this call.
There will be the first call for 2013 projects in or around the end of Q1 2013 i.e. hopefully April.
