Expert Witness training for professionals
This week we have been delivering CPD approved training to professionals who may wish to develop their careers as expert witnesses in cases involving human trafficking.
The requirements and qualifications to be an expert, giving evidence in criminal court or immigration tribunals, is exacting – but you have to start somewhere! This is the first of a series of professional development courses we will be delivering in this field.
With the huge numbers of children and vulnerable adults being criminally exploited, and then prosecuted for what they were made to do, there is a significant demand for experts qualified to give evidence on ‘the mores of human trafficking’, as the Court of Appeal called it!
It’s going to be a while till our budding experts can take on cases of their own, but we are incredibly proud to be supporting such talented and determined individuals.
