2024 was quite a year for us!
We wrote over 150 expert witness reports specifically regarding human trafficking and modern slavery. For every one of these our experts interviewed the victim, reviewed the full case papers and provided the Courts and Immigration Tribunals a thorough, detailed and (importantly) impartial expert report.
But that’s not all!
- Presented at the 12th INTERPOL Global Conference on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling for Expert Groups in Belgrade
- Spoke at the United Nations in Vienna on the prevalence of Child Criminal Exploitation
- On behalf of OSCE delivered in-person training to prosecutors in Uzbekistan
- With IOM trained police and social workers in Georgia on ‘victim centred human trafficking prosecutions’
- Supported the Centre for Victim Protection and prosecutors with training in trauma informed victim interviews in Serbia
We’ve also been in Ukraine, where we trained Caritas Ukraine staff to identify and support potential victims of human trafficking and other serious crimes such as Conflict Related Sexual Violence (CRSV).
And this is just a snapshot of what we’ve been able to achieve this year!
