SPC deliver critical training in Uzbekistan
This week, SPC Director, Bernie Gravett, has been delivering training to help combat human trafficking in Uzbekistan.
The training, arranged by the OSCE, focused on identifying and combatting human trafficking in the hospitality sector.
Over 2 days the 40 students from a range of national and international hotel groups, tour groups and event management companies focused on key areas such as:
– forms of exploitation that are common in the hospitality industry
– what are the common indicators
– action to take when human trafficking is suspected
– what companies can do to make their business hostile to traffickers
– child exploitation – the risks and how it presents in the hospitality sector
It’s great to see the hospitality sector appreciate the critical role they can play in identifying and preventing human trafficking.
